Integrative Family Medicine is treating the whole patient, mind, body and
spirit for all age groups. All three are absolutely tied together. As part
of that work, we tend towards education of the patient and involving them in
their own treatment as much as possible. This is most effective for patients
who are motivated to take care of themselves through life style changes, and
are looking for insight on ways to do this. My preference is to do as little
TO the patient as possible, but rather do as much as we can FOR the patient.
We also concentrate on Prevention since preventing problems is much more
effective than trying to fix them after they happen.
